Rattlesnakes and Roses
Biography
Carol Laverne Wakeford was born at “Mennonite
Corners” in Grey County near Owen Sound.
She moved to the Chandos Lake area with her family at age 11 and
now resides in Peterborough with her husband Frank. She has two children, Carrie (Patrick) and Jeffrey (Susan)
and two grandchildren, Wesleigh and Rebecca.
She is a Reiki Master, and has studied other healing modalities
including Therapeutic Touch and Mariel.
She is a physic/spiritual counsellor and reader, published
songwriter, and was inducted into Peterborough’s Pathway of Fame in
2005. Her love of nature and
her keen interest in her common threads of basic human emotions have led
her to Rattlesnakes and Roses, her first published collection of poems.
