Bleeding Pupils and Beauty
Bleeding Pupils and Beauty, continues
in the vein of viewing my poetry as a way of understanding my perception
of the world, as it has been, and continues to be, shaped by all
manner of experience. Communicating. Connecting.
The title for this book was inspired by
the stunning eyes of an individual
with whom I had the honour of sharing a fleeting fragment of
time. The rarity of
the shape and design of his
pupils, and the manner in which the light struck them and seemed to
reflect magic and mystery, was enthralling. Those eyes had the
appearance of bleeding pools of wisdom. Like diving into
vibrant, deep,
black liquid, intensity. Cold. Exhilarating.
Divine.
A pool where magic and mystery dwelt and
played. And where beauty,
unrefined, unfettered, savage, and rare, thrived.
Sharing the process of the exploration in
that refreshing black pool, is what Bleeding Pupils and Beauty offers.
