Poems From a Year in a Life

Destination

Floating, falling
from the golden rail
into a bed of Noisettes
pink and red 

Crimson tides
flow from the thorns,
fusing with the petals
of the old garden rose 

They pool and puddle
until they are carried
quietly, softly, in streams
to the river�s edge 

Water creates a palette,
merged and swirled
a new life force
shaped from the past
